She was not one of my favorites. Didn't she have an affair with Louis VI? I read that in Susan Nagels's book about Marie-Therese. Though,another book I read about Marie Antoinette, said nothing about the subject.

Vickie, Nagel only supposes Louis XVI was Polignac's lover at one point. Apparently a chambermaid was also enjoyed his charms. No scholars (reputable or otherwise)have ever made such ludicrous suggestions and I don't think Nagel names any new source(s) for this guesswork.
He doesn't look very creole to me, nevertheless i should like to have locked mouths with him all the same!
