I was at Court Pomp in May. Although I was expecting a much larger showcase, the exhibition was amazing! The gowns, the jeweleries... I was totally blown away. I wish we have some thing like that in my country.
I was there but was a bit disappointed. It was definately to crowded, to dark, without any fresh air to concentrate on the displays. I was already very tired from visiting the palace, I should have vistited the exhibition first. But I bought the exhibition catalogue, so I can check on all the details I missed, while I rushed through.
Whether you wish you could time travel to the court of Versailles or the Highlands of Scotland, this comprehensive guide will walk you through how to make and wear your 18th century dream gown.
the costumes are insane. it is so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that they were all hand-sown. i need to go to versailles one day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, I'm off to check them out now :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have gone to this. Paris is next year for me though.

ReplyDeleteOooh, thanks so much for the images. It was the most beautiful show I've seen. (Except maybe the Met's Dangerous Liaisons.)
