If you're asking who wore the expression of good humor, than the Duchess. If you're asking about the bow, I recommend them both equally to the judgment of Robespierre.
I think Lady Gaga looks ridiculous, and not in a good way. Her sense of "style," though uniquely her own, is in my humble opinion, hideous. How dare she wear a Muppet indeed! :)
The duchesse, while equally ridiculous looking (I think the updo would look much more cohesive without the side curls...I'm a curly-haired gal myself but I don't think the curls compliment the rest of the sleek 'do), at least wears hers with style. I love the matching bow she's wearing on her collar!
...can you tell I'm a bit overly-passionate with my opinion on this round of "who wore it better"? =) PS. I have a blog award for you here!
Not being a pop culture expert and definitely not a Lady Gaga fan, I am a little confused. Were there, in fact, any Muppets killed in the making of her wordrobe? If so, I cannot imagine Miss Piggy was involved: she would kick that scrawny pop diva's ass for even looking at her silk purse/sal's ears the wrong way.
OMG -- Lady Gaga wore Muppets? I will never, never listen to her -- although I never did. (I don't even know what she does, nor do I care any longer). You're reading the comment of a woman who wept over the death of Jim Henson as though he was a member of my own family.
Although a death sentence for looking like a twisted Playboy bunny may be extreme, I'd certainly condemn her to the national razor for wearing a muppet!
So, the round goes to the duchesse d'Abrantes, the former Laure Permon (hey, her childhood pal Napoleon didn't know how to wear his hair when he was young, either).
Whether you wish you could time travel to the court of Versailles or the Highlands of Scotland, this comprehensive guide will walk you through how to make and wear your 18th century dream gown.
Duchesses rank hire than a mere baroness or viscountesses, especially one of Gaga.

ReplyDelete@Heather Carroll very true!
ReplyDelete@Fitzwilliam Miller your comment had me lol-ing in a library.
The Duchesse
ReplyDeleteI follow Paul in this one!
ReplyDeleteThe Duchesse, I think she looks really cute.
ReplyDeleteOh the Duchesse definitely.
ReplyDeleteOf course I have zero tolerance for Lady Gaga due to her penchant for wearing Muppets as clothing. How dare she wear a Muppet!
While I'm with Paul, if I had to choose, I'd go with the duchess because Gaga's style is downright annoying (like her music, though).
ReplyDeleteI think the duchesse is winning everyone's votes with her sly smile! :)
ReplyDelete@Katy hahahhaa I never thought anyone would wear muppets!

@Katy- That is my same exact gripe about her!

ReplyDeleteLady Gaga wears muppets.
ReplyDeleteThe duchesse toned it down, not wearing make up, but Lady Gaga has that certain Minnie Mouse air that this Disney lover finds irresistible.
ReplyDelete@Lauren: I see. Yes, I see all and I am not amused.
