gossip guide to the 18th century
Love the one inspired by the riding habit. The red jacket is to die for!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these! They're gorgeous! I especially love the first one, such beautiful tailoring!
ReplyDeleteyou know the light blue jacket Kirsten Dunst wears in Marie Antoinette at the beginning when she is traveling to France? I WANT one of those. I have a Victorian walking jacket in brown tweed-y that I acquired through mysterious circumstances and I love wearing it with jeans.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the first image with the gray plaid skirt and jacket.
Thanks!
Your Majesty,
ReplyDeleteI just love love love this post! Gorgeous outfits. I wish we could still dress like this and not worry about others laughing at us:)) thanks for sharing!
Royal wishes,
Daisy
Oh, that's hot!
ReplyDeleteOoh la la, c'est très chic!! I like!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! was just in nyc this past Saturday and Dior was in Saks windows. Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteLove them all, especially the riding habit.
ReplyDelete@Paul Miller: I really want a Dior riding habit, an Arabian horse, and an English countryside steeplechase. That would be heaven.
ReplyDelete@Tulip @Paul Miller I want all of those things too, but I would start with the Dior frock
ReplyDeleteDo you know, I think I could rock No. 2 (upper right). Now, if I could just afford it....
ReplyDelete@Tulip: If I win the lottery, my perpetual fantasy, I will buy the gorgeous country house you can use as the setting for your own idyllic fantasy. I'm thinking really authentic [pricey] weekend parties, with numerous chances to tear pheasants al fresco and gather round, by candlelight, to whisper cattily while someones awkward and wealthy daughter plunks away at the spinet, having her pages turned by an Italian bounder with a title but no cash. Sound good? I thought so.
ReplyDelete@Paul Miller, I'm grateful for your fantasy! lol, it sounds amazing.
