I've always imagined Louis XV at his height of fame to be much like the English Charles II: handsome beyond question with a great love for the ladies. And vastly popular early in their reigns.

ReplyDeleteI always think that is deeply unfair when a King is also attractive. They should leave all the good looks and charm to the rest of us!
