To be honest I wasn't too thrilled with these. Mattel has released other art themed dolls in the past that I've found more appealing. However, it is an interesting concept, and after seeing them in person I can at least attest to the fact that the final product is very accurate to the promotional photos (not always the case). I'd be very surprised if they do any more; they tend to keep these concept collections fairly small (last year, for instance, they had a similar series of three inspired by famous landmarks, probably by the same designer).
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is interest in picking these up, check the Barbie aisle of your local Target--I've seen all three on the shelves there already.
Me want! This is exactly why God keeps me poor.
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to want Barbie's dress? I'd like a (much) larger version of the Van Gogh one please!
ReplyDeleteFunny comparing how ideals of beauty have changed - Barbie Mona Lisa isn't exactly the spitting image of her namesake.
This is the best weird thing ever.
